Original box, hand tags, papers and recent Rolex service receipt with Rolex 2 year service warranty. Stainless steel 9315 bracelet with 285 end links Upon request the watch was only cleaned and very very lightly polished (by Rolex Australia), an expert case restorer could get the watch to an exceptional condition if required - we have decided to leave it as is for the new owner to decide. We know the watch has been unused and stored for at least 15-20 years but no little of it's history prior to this. Upon inspection the movement was as crisp, clean and bright as when new - it has not been opened since returning from it's recent service at Rolex. The watch had no prior service record with Rolex although there are one or two service markings in the case back (we presume from an independent Watchmaker).

The watch has recently had a full service by Rolex (receipt included), only the plexi, seals, spring bars (and I believe crown) were replaced, everything else is original.
The watch has been fully examined by Rolex Australia with pictures and details sent to Geneva for verification. The bracelet is mostly good condition it is fairly loose and has some stretch, it could benefit from a bracelet refurb if the new owner desired but wears just fine as it is. The watch comes on it's original rare 9315 folded link bracelet with matching (for the period) 285 end links - it will fit up to around a 7.5" wrist. The bezel insert has a few small marks but the bezel notches are very well defined. The engraving on the case back is deep and clear. The 2 o' clock lug has a few dints and marks and is slightly more rounded than the others, elsewhere the case has some very small dints and marks and expected scratches none of which are particularly deep. The case is extremely good given it's age, the shoulders are intact and just slightly rounded, the lug ends are sharp as are the case edges. The hands show some pitting and corrosion but all lume is intact. All of the numerals on the date wheel are crisp and intact. The print on the dial is super crisp with the red marking very bright and clear. The dial has faded to a deep chocolate brown, the markers have a nice patina although it is a little uneven in places. The original owner saw fit to cut out their name from the certificate (a shame but better to have papers with a small hole than no papers!), otherwise the papers are in excellent condition. All pertinent details match the watch (serial numbers have been altered for the photographs only). The watch has original box, papers, hang tags. The dial is a MK II 'chocolate' with appropriate thin case.

The inside of the case back is marked IV 67 and includes the last digits of the serial number (matching). The watch was purchased new from a Rolex Dealer in Fiji in 1976. The case is complete with serial number and model reference (1665) etched between the lugs. The watch is a 2.9 serial dating casing to around 1969.
